History
I grew up in the Bajoran refugee camps. Even as a young child I loved tinkering with items. I found the puzzle of figuring out how something worked to be the funnest thing to do. The camps had very little. So what they did have had to last so even as kid the people in the camps would bring me things to fix. I became very good at fixing things. When I was 11 my family escaped to one of the planets lining the badlands. I finally had a place to call home. My ability to fix thing and my love of tinkering was even more in need due to starting our own new colony. It was a lot of hard work but by the time I was 15 it was a place to be very proud to call home. There was not thing on the colony that I did not know how to take apart and put back together again. The day after I turned 17 in 2369 the Cardassians ended thier occupation of Bajor we were free. My family had an important decision to make, leave the colony that we helped to found or go home to Bajor. We decided to stay the colony was our new home, one that we were proud to have helped build. When the Federation-Cardassian treaty was signed in 2370 which gave the planet to the Cardassians I had just turned 18 and had an important choice to make between either joining the Maquis or Starfleet. Going to the Starfleet Academy had alway been my dream. So I choose Starfleet - do not misunderstand me it was a very hard choice because I was angry and felt betrayed when the Federation gave the planet that I had finally found a home over to the Cardassians. My family then choose to return to the planet of thier birth Bajor while I went to Earth. But during my Starfleet Academy days I learned to let go of the anger and began to feel as if my fellow officers are family.

I initially began to study with the idea of going to Command School. I wanted to have my own ship one day. During my first year I discovered I really loved my engineering classes. Also there was an incident during training on one of Saturns moons that I discovered that I was not suited to command my own vessel. So I went were my inclinations were leading me engineering. I majored in Engineering and minored in Operations. My first year was hard growing up the way I did I was very close to my parents. Being away from them was very hard. Then the incident on the Saturn moon Mimas made my first year at the Academy memorable. The second and third year went by without incident. In my forth year at the Academy I proved myself to be a very capable. I was first in my Engineering class and in the top 10% in my Operations class. I won the bronze in the triatholon. I loved being on the competition flight team.

After graduating from the Academy with honors I was assigned as the Damage Control Specialist on the USS Hirohito. I gained a lot of experience due to the fact that it was the Dominion War. I was kept very busy. I lost a lot of friends and saw a lot of death. Something that I thought I had left behind when I left home. I saw way to much. I started to have to cut myself off to stay sane and to be able to still do my job. I was assigned to the USS Janssen when the USS Hirohito was put of commission due to severe battle damage. Upon the USS Janssen even though the war was not over the USS Janssen was assinged to sector 001 duty. The crew did not appreciate that fact. All of us wanted to be a part of the war effort because we could make a difference there. But I even have to admit that it gave me time to heal and recover. I proved to be an excellent officer and both the Captain of the USS Hirohito and USS Janssen recommended that I attend Command School. So I applied and was accepted.

I returned to Earth and to the Academy to attend Command School. Alot of my fellow students were kids right out of the Academy about 10% of were officers returning to attend. The other students tended to look up to us because we had been out there and we had experience. Of course that did not mean a thing to the instructors if anything they tended to be harder on those of us returning to the Academy to further our education.
